If you like the psychedelic rock vibes of Tame Impala and Passion Pit’s indie electronic style, you won’t want to miss out on Dillo Day 2017.
Mayfest Productions officially announced MGMT as the headliner for this year’s Dillo Day.
Known for tracks such as “Electric Feel” and “Kids,” MGMT was the most requested artist on this year’s Mayfest Poll, a survey conducted to gauge student interest for the annual campus music festival.
With their fourth album in the works, MGMT will be releasing new tracks throughout 2017. They are set to perform at music festivals such as Mamby on the Beach at Chicago’s Oakwood Beach, Life is Beautiful in Las Vegas, Pemberton Music Festival in British Columbia, and Osheaga in Montreal, Canada.
Other popular tracks from the duo, formed in 2002 at Wesleyan University, include “Time to Pretend,” “Weekend Wars,” and “The Youth”.
If you’ve never seen MGMT live before, you’re in for a treat. Their performances incorporate visual displays filled with psychoactive, colorful graphics to accompany their live instrumental sets.
Mayfest recently revealed electronic hip-hop artist Gramatik as another Dillo Day performer.
